Seasonal Artist Reception at Wellfleet's JS画廊 August 3

Sustainable artist 和 custom furniture maker 杰夫•索德伯格 reclaims 角 Cod as his summer home every year 和 sets up shop in his unique Wellfleet gallery. Nestled below one of the charming town’s original homestead barns, JS画廊 displays exquisitely crafted contemporary art, sculptures 和 furnishings, all made of highly sustainable 和/or salvaged materials. 画廊, which features a showroom 和 sculpture garden that showcases the environmentally conscious 和 contemporary work of seasonal artists as well as the furnishings of 杰夫•索德伯格, is staffed through Labor Day, 和 remains open—though unmanned—well into the fall to art 和 design enthusiasts looking to discover the art 和 wares. This is the perfect place to spend a few idle hours 和 admire the custom artwork or rest 和 reflect.

大卫·冈维尔 is a contemporary artist that draws his inspiration from nature, specifically the ocean 和 its convergence with surf, 天气, l和forms 和 human interaction. His abstract paintings emerge from deconstructing 和 reconstructing multiple large wood panels of different colors, 纹理和介质. The outcome of this unique process is referenced by his personal experiences in the ever-changing coastal environment.

约书亚Enck is a contemporary sculptor, 设计师, 绘图员, 和 illustrator who teaches 和 maintains an active studio practice in Rochester, NY. With both an architectural 和 furniture design background, his three-dimensional sculptures playfully 和 thoughtfully tread the line between the silly 和 sublime 和 the weighty 和 reflective.

乔纳森·克兰西 utilizes time 和 light to his advantage when he captures eye-catching imagery that blend aspects of earth 和 sky. Clancy has carried a camera since he was a child 和 is a commercial photographer, artist 和 photojournalist. Clancy is the father of a beautiful young girl who inspired him to use his art as a way to reflect what his life is like as a parent—the good 和 bad, 光明与黑暗, 和 the energy 和 exhaustion. His exclusive series for the JS画廊 represents an evocative 和 abstract collection of images printed with soy based inks on recycled aluminum.
